These cards have an unusual - for the era - nearly square shape(1-13/16" X 2-3/8")format.
The fronts have the name and world champions, and there is a complete checklist of the 25 cards in the set on the back, along with an advertisement for the bread company.
These are very scarce, and while the commons book for about $400 in near mint, an example of Vin Campbell recently (april 2002) sold for $550 in excellent condition, and in March of 2002 a Wagner in a psa2 which lists for $3,000 in near mint in the guide sold for $4,000.
So, throw the book out on these.
At the time this page was created in May 2002, PSA had only graded 51 of these, and 19 of those are being offered for sale here.
You just do not find these very often. A must for the serious Pirates Collector!
