1887 N284 BUCHNER GOLD COIN BASEBALL CARDS We recently picked a scrapbook with about 40 of these very rare baseball cards, and while they are in low grade, (all graded either authentic or "1" by SGC) they are still hard to find, and there were seven HOF players in the book!! Most of the cards in this set are dated 1887 so they are considered to have been printed at that time. There are versions that have no date so there is speculation that some may have been printed later. There are 143 different cards known in the set and some players have different poses which are more or less generic poses. Some cards have advertising on them and other were cut out from posters and still are considered to be cards.
